Default anyone turbo a gs

I was wondering if anyone has done a turbo kit for there v6 3G gs, room looks to tight to fit it under the hood but putting the turbos back by the mufflers will work.

I was wondering if its possible to tune our cars maps....... bolting the turbos up and all the piping is easy for me to do but getting it to run right will be the hard part...so any information you guys have will be great in making a decision on this

What you're looking at is an STS Twin Turbo System (Squires Turbo Systems)

Interesting -- Says they'll "borrow" someone's car to make a bolt on kit. Who's got a GS350 in Utah?

I admit I know jack bone about the particulars of engines -- only what I just learned on the Wikipedia, but Squires has a bolt on for the Tacoma. That's in the same engine family (GR) as the GS350. The Tacoma has the 1GR (4.0L) and the GS has the 2GR (3.5L). From my extensive study, the difference is the stroke. Using my special brand of logic, it shouldn't be much of a leap for them to make a kit for the GS, right?

those are remote turbo kits. they have their pros and cons but mainly cons because of where they are located and the amount of piping needed to be ran.

I thought about doing the same. After a lot of thought though, I really have serious doubts about this transmission being able to handle the boost. Before someone talks about the IS-F, that transmission is very beefy since the car was designed with heavy right foots in mind. Our cars especially the AWD models were not designed with this in mind. Perhaps when the GS-F comes out it would be a better idea. Then again, maybe overly cautious here. Go for it and if your engine or trans doesn't blow, I'll be down for one. Good luck in your discision.

BTW, I tried finding more info about the Tom's kit but, no one seems to know a whole lot about it.
