Default rubbing issues

okay heres my problem

i have a set of 20" rims
front....32+ 245 35 20....rubs when i hit bumps or slight hard cornering

rear ......35+ 285 30 20...rubs when i hit bumps , rubs even more when i have people in the back

all fenders have been rolled

how can i fix my rubbing issue , its getting irritating now
is it possible to go with 235 front tires , and 275 rear tires will this resolve my issue ...please help thanx

I would say get smaller set of tires, stretched. i would give you specs but am not a tire guru. but just get thin stretched tires. or you could raise your car a bit :P

when i got my rims lowered on df210 with 20s i rub like crazy also 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. my rear rub so hard the slightlest motion = a rubbing sound. running over 50 page paperback book would make my rear rub lol.... stretch the R tire and problem solved!!!

i have same rubbing front with the same spec tires. pretty sure it's rubbing fender liner because of over spec tires. either getting lower profile tires or use the heat gun where it's rubbing.. not sure about the rear even when your fenders are rolled.. is this with the eibach springs?

you problem is the oversized tires. you didn't state the widths, but i guess they are 9 and 10. those are aggressive offsets. you are running overspec tires and you are pretty much guaranteed to rub, even if all fenders are shaved.

your solution would be the run spec size tires and narrower too if needed. 235/30/20 and 275/25/20 would be my recommendation (if those tires are avaiable).

right now from my guess:
- up front you are rubbing the 10/2 o'clock position when you are turning (very dangerous, you can blow your fender). and when going straight, you are rubbing the top of the fender lining on the top front.
- rear you are rubbing the place where the bumper meets the fender. you can only shave so much at this location, and if they are shaved already then not much else you can do, it's due to the 1" overspec tires.

and if you are on springs, that will make rubbing worse as well coz' the stock shocks are so soft

rominl...your are really accurate..LOL
the front i rub only at 10 o clock and only when i hit bumps ..i can make full u turns no rubbing at all

as for the rears you are correct ...i will go with 275 series tires

the funny thing is i have a 1 finger gap on all four corners..

and yes i am on eibach pro kits

ditch the 245/35/20 and the 285/30/20 . Its WAY out of spec. On the tire calculator site I use , when I input the size of the stock tire then the 245/35/20 a big red alert symbol pops up.

I recommend the 245/30 front and the 275/30 rear. I am using it and have had no issues.

please do not give out wrong information. your 245/30 and 275/30 is a weird setup, rear diameter is almost 1" larger than the front, i don't know where that comes from. and with 275/30 he will still rub in the back because he's on springs with stock shocks, and also the offsets. offsets on your wheels are way conservative to worry about rubbing. if you saw a big red alert symbol up with 245/35/20, there is no way the 275/30/20 doesn't trigger coz' they are virtually the same diameter

alwayzspeedin, yeah if you can get lower profile tires that's probably your best bet, next would be shock / coilovers

235/30 and 275/25 ?????? Sounds like a rubberband.

Rominl I was telling the OP what works for me so its not wrong info. There are many more members running my tire sizes than yours or the random ones you are recommending. I am just trying to help, like you are. I know his offsets are different from mine, but my wheels actually fit my car. I am sorry I assumed the same thing about the OP
