Default Quick question

I was trying to find out the location of the OEM HID ballasts on the '06 GS is located. I believe that I need to replace a ballast on my left side headlight since the bulb is not working. I've already verified that the bulb works on the other side. I saw that there was a fuse for the headlight, but can't get the clear plastic cover off to get to the fuse. The fuse is said to be on the side where the battery is located.

Can anyone help me out with my issue?

Thanks

You have to remove the headlight for this one.

That's what I figured, just wasn't quite sure. Is it right on the bottom of the headlight once removed?

if it's like older lexus, the ballasts would be mounted under the headlights?

My suggestion to you.......get yourself d2s ballasts for both sides then you can buy genuine phillips 6k d2s bulbs that will look brighter than the OEM....I would do this if I had to go through all that work.....

I'm not having a problem with both sides, only one. Right now I just need to find a ballast to replace the old one.

Does anyone know if I can get a ballast from any Lexus or are the ballasts different for each year/car?

well you need to make sure the ballast is the one that you can mount on the same location as the stock one. not all of them are the same in this regards.

and scary to say, i am not sure, but is the ballast part of the headlight assembly from lexus? i don't have part list so i am not 100%
