Default Would you trade your GS for an IS-F?

Just brought my car in for the recall and they gave me a RAV 4 as a loaner (groan)

Anyway, the dude at Lexus said I could trade my car in for an IS-F if I wanted to and it wouldn't be much difference in price (I'm financing my 07 GS350)

Doubt I'd do it but wondered what you guys would do? I love my GS but on the way home I seen an IS-F on the road (for the first time) and it seemed like such an odd coincidence. That car sounded awesome when it drove by.

yes. I would. I really like the GS, but regret not getting a sportier vehicle. I don't need the size, and would prefer a small fast car. Not hating the GS, and hindsight is 20/20, but realize I should have waited for the Nissan 370Z.

Have you looked into the cost of owning IS-F vs GS? The brake jobe alone on the IS-F will force you to take a second loan on your house.

I think it really depends on what you like......The IS-F is a very sporty and fast car......But I really feel like the GS with some wheels and drop might have a bit more style and class then the IS-F.

Haha, I feel the same man, our GS's are too ballin right now to trade in for a stock F. Not to mention the aftermarket support for the F is still conservative now. If I had a stock GS then id definitely do it, but I already put too much $$ into it, furthermore, I havent fully enjoyed it yet. I will be trading in my GS for an F in about 2 years though

But for now............GS FTW

too small.

plus if I wanted a performance vehicle, IS-F wouldn't be my top choice.

I agree with all of you - I wouldn't trade mine. It would be cool to have an IS-F as a second car though

BTW - This RAV 4 SUCKS. Its hard going from the GS to this. No bluetooth so I'm worried about getting pulled over on my cell phone. No sattelite radio on the sterring wheel. UGH

I used to have a RAV4 (2nd gen) and yes it's hard to go from the GS to that. But at least the cruise control's still the same haha!

Yeah its not a bad car but it has shown me how its impossible for me to go back a step from the GS now. I'm pretty much stuck in luxury car land from here on out.

i wouldn't do it. the is-f is very small, the performance is there but to me you are giving up a lot.

in terms of aftermarket support, true that right now is-f probably has less support than the 3gs, but i am more than sure that in the very near future, there will be a lot more mods for the is-f, both cosmetics and performance

i am actually surprised that the sales said the payment on the is-f is going to be about the same as your gs? i would think the payment on the is-f be quite a bit more?
