Question GS450h downshift after full stop????

Hi,
Anybody with hybrids have noticed this issue/behavior?
When you make a full stop, for example at the stop sign, and then floor it the car accelerates slowly for split second, and then it feels like it "downshifts" before flipping your wife's eyeballs. I have same behavior in the truck, but with longer delay before downshift...

i haven't really pushed my 450h hard yet, so i can't comment on that. but this issue you are describing - does it occur in both normal and power mode?

It happens in all modes Normal, Hybrid Power, and Sport. It's weird because I don't remember this behavior during first 500 miles. I think I've red on this forum about ECU learnig period that adjusts tranny to your driving style. If that's the truth, then I would love to reset it (anybody know how?). It will be difficult to do aggresive driving for 500mls, but if that's what has to be done to correct it then why not...

...and I know for sure it is not a traction control.

Disconnect the ECU fuse or the battery for about 10 mins to reset the tanny. I thought the hybrid have a Continuious transmission?

They have, but if you listen to it closely you can tell there are ranges (I wouldn't qualify it to gears) in which tranny operates. You can get better feel of it once you switch to manual shifter (+/-).
Thanks for ECU info. I will try it this weekend.
