Does anyone know how checking or fixing the dash rattle would show on a car fax report? I'm looking at a 2006 GS300 AWD that has two reports of "window checked" on the car fax report. Would this be related to the dash rattle or something else?

carfax report would not state rattles reports...

 

yeah it has to be something else, rattling issues won't be reported on there

 

Thank you! Just picked up the car tonight. We arrived at the dealership with no rain in sight and it started to pour by the time we got done with the title work. Still learning the Nav system...its not easy on the 06 model. The DVD is 5.1 for the Nav, should I have them update the disc for me? They said that they would, but it never happened. The ML audio system is very nice.

 

If they offer to update the nav software for free, I would do it. Its a pretty expensive item.

 

Thanks G Man! Since we just got the car last night I haven't been able to play with the Nav much....but I would guess that my wife and I would like the override function that we should have with the 4th Gen Nav and the 5.1 software.

Very true, but I deal with that on my garmin gps too. The dealer installed the ipod adapter for free and I thought I read somewhere that the ipod unit takes care of the I agree button. I need to play with the Nav this weekend and see how it works.

BTW, do you know of anywhere online to get a copy of the Nav manual for the 4th Gen system? The car did not come with one and I have a call into the dealer.

it depends on which ipod kit. if it's the vaistech, maybe, i don't think the toyota ipod kit does that trick

 

it is from vaistech. It's either the SLi2 or SLi2 Up.
