Default Tire sizes with NF210s

Im seriously due for a new tires, im thinking of upgrading my current 17s (225/50/17)to either 18s or 19s with NF210 springs. Im contemplating a conservative suspension, tire setup for a daily driver. I have 2 options: 18" OEM route with 245/40/18 tires, or 19" aftermarket wheels with 245/40/19 tires. I know most people who installed 19" wheels went for 245/35/19 tires.
Im dont want to go thinner than the 40series profile since this is a daily driver. Will 245/40/19 tires clear without any issues with NF210s? What is the suggested wheel offset?

with those tires, you might rub a bit on dips at the top of the wheel well (on the lining) coz' the tires are overspec

40 series on 19's will look like balloons!! not too mention your speedo will be a little off cuz the oversize spec tire.

it will be very close even with the right offset.. you will have to be careful with large dips and when u turn ur wheels all the way.. i agree, 40 series might look unbalanced with the 19's..

I guess the Nissan M45s/M35s have a larger fender space than our 3gs since they have 245/40/19s standard on their OEM 19 optional wheel package...I just dont want to go too thin...I guess i would have to run a trial and error on this.

i had the standard 19's on my g35 with staggered tire set up on s-tech springs, but no issues. my gs is running similar diameter u mentioned, i have a slight rubbing in the front with springs..

Hey Stvincent,
I was looking at older threads and i came across your post, your tire size is 245/35/20- this will give you the following measurements: sidewall=3.4in, radius=13.4in, diameter=26.8in.
245/40/19- will have the following measurements: sidewall=3.9in, radius= 13.4, diameter 26.7in.
The overall diameter of the two wheel sizes are the almost the same...Hmmm, what is your wheel offset??, Any rubbing issues??
Also, you are using Tein S-techs-im planning on using NF210s- I guess the NF210s have a more conservative drop than the S-techs...

it's pretty pointless to compare between different cars. other cars can have a totally different fender wheel well design thus allowing larger tires

i don't really know the offset since they were custom made. like i mentioned, i have a slight rubbing in the front over large dips, and when my wheels are turned all the way. s-tech is not much lower than nf210, and mind you i have an AWD, which is sitting higher than the RWD model.. donno if it's stock springs or other components.

i'm sure you can pull it off with 40 series tires for little more protection.. i'm running 35 just for that reason.

if you want to keep a 40 spec tire, the 18s would look much more flush. 35 profile tires with 19s look JUST RIGHT, any thicker would look like life savers. you're bound to rub with 40 profile tires w/19s

stick to the stock diameters or as close as possible and you will be cool. dont think you can drop and go with a fat side wall. 19" wheels will allow more of a sidewall, just keep you tire pressure high
