I agree! When I first saw the 06 GS and the LED License Plate lights, I thought it was sick and it was the first thing that attracted me to the car.

and i agree completely. my ls460l had better interior lighting from the tungsten lamps. the 3gs is not too bad though, but not as good

If its anything like the 2IS, they should be simple wedge bulbs and can be easily reverted back. I have a bunch of led & super white wedge bulbs for the 2IS that I no longer need due to the upgraded 3GS lighting

I was just thinking the same thing. I was about to order LED bulbs for my license plate for my new car and I said to myself, what am I stupid? Why would I want the cops to see my plate better

I dont think the '08 had Lexus tracking ...I may be wrong
but the '09 has Lexus vehicle tracking sorta like lo-jack
maybe that where the extra $300 in MSRP came in at

never heard of this lexus tracking, you might be a victim of dealer sales BS, rebranding Lo-Jack addon as "Lexus Tracking"

$300 increase is simply an adjustment to go inline with the inflation.

...never a victim
but I was just told from a friend the "Lexus tracking" i referred to might be "Lexus Link" which has been out for a few yrs so its NOT New for '09 but they have the second generation version out now which is supposed to be better
but as u may know already Lexus Link can track your car if it was stolen providing you had a subscription ...so I'll say its more like OnStar not lojack

I never thought of it that way, I'm screwed! Oh well, been pulled over 11 times with only 2 tickets, 1 for Switching too many lanes, and one for tints, luckily none on the GS yet, knocking on wood...
