I am pretty sure its the same stuff. I had lexol on my infiniti G35 and the clear sheild on my Lexus. Same stuff as far I can tell. I would compare warranties and gaurantees. My G35 had it back in 2002 when it was just coming out and they would only gaurantee that the film will be clear for 5 years, but I dont think that is somehting to worry to much about today.

Ventureshield!
3M bought Ventureshield but the films are still different.
After reseaching and reading clear bra installer posts on different vehicle forums,Ventureshield was the choice for me.

The yellowing should be under warranty.
I'm told Ventureshield should last about 7 years before yellowing if kept up with regular applied non abrasive sealant protection like Zaino,Rejex etc.
Plexus doesn't last and yellow carnauba waxes shouldn't be used.

You are not alone. I had mine redone because I couldn't stand the yellowing.

I'm guessing the intensity of the AZ sun and maybe CA too.
I have a friend with a white ES that has Ventureshield on the car with no problems for two years.
Another friend Koz on the IS forum has Ventureshield on his red IS 350 for over a year and it looks like new and the car isn't garaged.

Sounds like you're using an abrasive products or wiping with a non 100% cotton towel.
Are you using a cleaner/wax on it?
All in one cleaner waxes are abrasive and would cause tiny scratches that would dull the film.

Wow, same with me. I wasn't sure if it's my OCD analness or aging eyesight. Didn't want to hassle Francisco if it was not a true defect. Since you guys with Starfire have noticed it, I feel better about taking mine back (I have opaline). Must be ventureshield, the 3M film on my IS350 was flawless the 2 yrs I drove it . . .

Ventureshield has a lifetime guarantee against cracking, buubling and yellowing.
Bring the car back to the installer.
The installer must be a authorized Ventureshield installer.

Click on lifetime warranty.

Joeb - haha Henry (rominl) is a perfectionist and also a detailer on the side, I guarantee you he is using all the right products

I know AZ has intense heat, my car is in my garage or indoor parking 95% of the time, I rarely leave it out in the sun for more than 2 hours

It has no reason to yellow after 9 months, I will probably go back and request 3M this time
