coz' the windshield was what causing the rattle.

pretty slick. I have swirls in my windshield but have noticed them alot less recently. I think I am getting used to the minor scratches. I live in AZ so we replce windshield frquently because of all of the construction and road debris. I had 7 windshields on my g35 sedan in 5 years. I am covered for glass through insurance so I will wait for my inevitable rock chip/ glass break and then have the entire windshield replaced

 

why don't you throw a rock at it now?

 

Sooooo what are the chances that my window bust and a repair shop gets me the exact type of windshield I had before? Oh and in the state of Florida there is no deductible on windshields.

 

I thought that there is no after market windshields for the GS, only oem.

 

not that hard, just tell them to pick up the windshield at the dealer, then you will be fine.

My AZ insurance doesn't care about the amount of the windshield claims, but they care about the # of claims you make in the duration of the contract

last time i got a pretty big rock chip, my agent just told me to get the whole thing replaced, OEM or not, it's entirely up to the customer and not the insurance co.

 

last time i asked the shop, they had it for the GS

not sure if all GS has the rain sensors

 

So there is aftermarket windshields for the GS now?

 

There are aftermarket winshields out there. The 3GS has been out since 2005. Glass manufacturers will make aftermarket replacement glass for any car regardless of what antennas, rain sensors, acoustic, uv coatings they have.
