no. it will fit the same even if you take it off 3x.

it's a little complicated to remove the headliner. you gotta pop all the pillar covers first. then you can pop the headliner off its clips. and there are a LOT of clips.

Thanks for the reply guys. I need to get to the back of the moonroof section to realign the sun screen. ( it popped forward and now cannot close the moonroof. ) Seems portions of the headliner is attached via velcro ( middle ) while the edges are anchored with clips. Just don't want to miss any.

removing headliners arent too hard but when you do get it all off, becareful taking it out and putting it back in. usually they arent all that strong and can crease easily

you don't need to take it all out.
you just need to drop it over the seats to make enough room to reach your hand in to fix the sunroof

What would be the easiest way to drop the rear headliner down enough to replace the sharkfin antenna? I had a minor incident that requires a new sharkfin and I'm not really liking the idea of paying $700 labor that the dealer would charge. I'm assuming the GS and IS headliner is similar in installation/removal.

Hate to revive this thread but I want to look at the back of the sunroof / moonroof rails as I think that's where my last rattle is coming from.

Does the whole headliner need to be removed to access it?

And before I do it, is there even a bolt back there for the moonroof assembly that I could tighten or put some felt around?

Thanks.

I have a 2013 GS350 . I have read that the first year that trim came out toyota installed improper screws to hold down the sunroof. later years that issue was resolved. My car the issue was never fixed by the dealer and im stuck with a rattling roof. I will be removing the roof lining and figuring out a fix for the rattle. If i get it done right ill post some info and pictures.

interesting. I used to have a 2013 ES350, and it developed a roof rattle as well about 2 years after purchase. Dealership attempts to fix, but still rattled. I wonder if it had the same problem as your GS?
