Default Updated brake pad coming for an '08?

Just spoke to my service manager about the brake dust issue on the '08.
He told me that a new brake pad will be available in a couple of weeks. The pad doesn't even have a part# yet.
He said to wait and make the change then.
Anybody here of this?

My dealer changed my brakes out Ive noticed less dust, but If you get your brakes changed, and you get the PART # please post it.

Will do.
I'll probably wait a month or so.
A couple of weeks usually turns into at least a month.
Maybe these so called updated pads will be on the '09.

Isnt the update pads just the pads from the GS450h? or is there another new pad coming out?

keep us updated please Joeb. My service guy told me the 08 already has the updated pad and it doesnt. Half of the time, I dont think they are full of BS but they are just mis-informed.

Default The 08 does not come with the updated pads.

I heard this several times. I just had my 08 pads replaced with the low dust version. They make a world of difference. The stock pads were awful.

Can't wait to change mine, although I'll wait until the originals are worn down a little.
