Yup there's a TSIB for less dust brake pads. You should ask your service manager to swap it for free and mention the TSIB.

yes, there's been a TSIB to replace pads with dustless ones. the one for 07 has been out for quite a while

I was planning to do the TSIB, but the dealer said they just put lower performance brakes in order to stop the dust. I would rather wash it daily than to lose even an inch of stopping distance...is this true?

The low dust pads are made from a harder material, thus less dust and less grab.

i havent read anything about this...but i bet one of the main reasons for so much dust is the brake cooling ducts blowing to the outside of the wheels. Besides it just being the pads.

it's 100% purely on the pads itself

any high performance high frictions pads will have dust

sorry, dustless and performance just don't go hand in hand

I can under performance pads, but the dust on the GS is especially bad compare to other performance sedans.

I had the same issue. Went and got "low dust pads" which turned into "horrific squealing pads". Months went by and bay ridge finally fixed it for me. now I have zero dust/zero squeaks and just annoying dash rattles. I'm pretty happy now because nobody outside of my car hears any noises anymore. Its only my passengers who are subjected to the rattles

Ah, thanks for the info. Will stick with the "dusty" ones...it's not that bad. I've seen Mercedes' that also have really bad brake dust issues.
