Default Typhoon or not to Typhoon??

I was looking into possibly getting the K&N typhoon intake... Can you guys please chime in on the pros and cons on our 3G's. Fuel, Hp, Sound, Feel... things like that, also how much and where to buy?

let the modding continue!

I installed the typhoon in my car about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. I can almost guarantee it'll be one of your favorite mods. Personally, I thought the GS was a little boring to drive and didn't feel like it was a 303 hp car. The intake changed all of that. Your throttle response will be quicker and your acceleration will seem effortless. The best part about this intake is that it sounds and feels exacly like stock but only up to about 3500 rpm...after that your car will roar (in a good way) down the highway. The only con about this intake is that your MPG will take a hit, but that's only because you'll have the urge to floor it more often. If you don't have that problem then you should be fine.

The pros....it sounds loud. Cons...it's loud and draws hot air from your engine bay, esp at a full stop or low speed driving.

I'm the first GS350 fitted with the Joe Z intake. I haven't had a chance to do a write up on it yet, but I am pleased with the sound and performance. I also had a Joe Z intake on my 04 IS300 back in the day. Joe Z is a stand up guy with a great product. I would highly recommend it.

I think all performance intakes are a joke on an N/A car. They are there to satisfy your ego's. If you think you can tell the difference between a 303hp and 308hp GS350 you are sadly mistaken.

Swaybars will help correct the body roll. Coilovers will help to a certain extent, but not as well as the addition of sways.

nobody makes sway bars for the 3gs yet right? I had sway bars on my last car and it made more of a difference than any suspension mods I did followed by adjustable shocks. I am waiting for the day the sway bars are made for the 3gs. That mod will be a no brainer. No negatives to sway bars( unless you are off road)
