It wont work, because in the daytime, it is running at 1/2 voltage, so it will look yellowish no matter what, you can install a relay i guess, and basically get full voltage even in daytime running light mode but you will literally be driving with high beams on

correct, there is no way. you can put a 100w bulb in there so 1/2 the power and it's pretty darn bright white, but like eyekutr said you will be driving with highs on basically

not to mention about the heat and power. and when you really flip on the highs, you might see smoke

careful, i don't thnk you can just plug in hid kits and it will work. in fact, probably not coz' during the day it's 1/2 the power (voltage basically) so the hid might not even fire

if you put hid kits in highs, you will need to do more work

the only way to really eliminate it would be do have the dealer disable the DRL, that way it dont light up unless your high beams are on. other than that pretty much any bulb at 50% is going to look yellowish

HID would work fine if you run the power into a relay (which good HIDs have anyways) but again you will have HID on all day long AND you have no projector just a reflector....at night time when you turn on high beams, it will be glare city ......overall a BADD idea IMO, just drive with your headlights on, is there any difference if you think about it ?

plus you can pretty much forget about using the highs as "flash" coz' they won't flash fast enough

Yea I agree with all of them above, there is no way because it is hard to do that, just have the dealer disable the daytime running light and drive without DRL.
