I ordered the 9006 5k VLED DRL's about eight months ago and haven't received them yet (won't name the company) but I was wondering if the DRL will only show 5k during the day. So at night do I need a seperate d4s bulb to make it 5k? or does the DRL make it 5k at night also. and is 9005 the same as h11 for fogs?

The DRL will only be on when your low beams are off.
So, only in the day time....
The DRL will also act as a high beam when you engage your high beam.

 

The IS vehicles use 9005 for the daytime running lights. 9006 is for the fog lights. The daytime running lights are only on during the day and turn off once you turn on your headlamps. They turn on at night when you turn on your high beams because they're the same bulb.

Your headlamps (if you have factory installed HID lights) are D4S.
