DO NOT BUY RUBBISH LIKE THAT! Come on guys. You own a Lexus, not a Hyundai or Kia.

Performance mod chips do work. They usually modify the stock fuel maps to a more aggressive level yielding more power. As for the one in that link, it looks like crap and I'm pretty sure it's crap. A quality mod chip would most likely cost a few hundred dollars at least. Something less than $10 is more likely some sort of resistor only.

This is the greatest mod for the price. The Manufacture hold back on will that car can really do. If you purchase the whole computer modding system for the brain/computer in your car, you can modify the gas and air levels produced to a more aggressive output for the car. This does decrease MPG/FUEL, for max performance. This is a simple mod makes it so you don't have to buy the whole computer system (45-50K). Not all dealerships own this equipment.

Probably crap. The ecu retunes or " chips" add mild amounts of power by adjusting fuel and ignition maps. It can also do things like advance timing, increase redline etc. You will not get 60 hp out of it. ECU retunes are to be done after all mods (airflow) have been done to the car. Then you get the ecu retuned to add fuel and timing to your increased volume of air you are adding to the motor. If done correctly it can be the best mod out there. On my prev G35 and track cars this kind brings the entire modification package together so that you are not leaning out the motor and at the same time you are actually tuning the motor for all of the add ons. Great mod, but I would wait until a reputable shop with lots of dyno graphs and customer feedback was available. Save your money and time

Why buy a Lexus and turn into a Honda Civic tuner? Hondas are cheaper.
