Is the RX roomier? which makes more sense?

My father loves the RX, but the RX is absolutely last on my list due to the model change next year, the FWD, and its chickness appeal.

But my father says the GS is small and 3 people cant fit in the back seat...everywhere I look seems to say the GS has more leg room and such. Is he retarded? Sorry I'm fuming

Looks like I'm going to be the moron that buys the 2008 RX, the SUV that'll never be new--its been out since 2003. FWD like a minivan. I should just get him a 2004 used rx330 since he likes it so much, same damn design. I HATE buying cars at the absolute END of their model years.

who is paying for this, who is driving it ??? The 2 `cars are sooooooo different that this is a mute issue.....driving the RX is like driving a rodeo horse, you punch it and hold on tight and hope it goes straight...it sucks IMO. Get a GX instead, though it is also near the end of its cycle....

I'm paying, he's driving. Well actually its a birthday gift from me to him. But I feel he doesn't know any better and he doesn't know what he wants. That's why I was aiming for GS all the way.

Here's something else I posted.
why would someone buy an 08 RX at the end of its model year. It offers absolutely NOTHING compared to lower end toyota.

FWD CHEKC
lack of push start/ smart access CHECK
lack of ventilated seat CHECK
dated design since 2003 CHECK
lack of parking assist CHECK
lack of aux input CHECK

but I'm the moron that's getting this over the GS because my dad is a moron and he insists I get him an RX. Have fun old man..I'm not even going to SIT in your crappy RX.

Let's talk about FUNCTION (since people here are more about "what's better" instead of "what's necessary"... )

How does your Dad drive? Is he a relaxed cruiser, or is he an ethusiastic driver?

Does your dad really need the space for 5 passengers? Or does he need more storage and cabin room?

Does your dad care about the lastest technology such as a Push-Start ignition? Does he use an iPod frequently? Is the extra technology necessary?

Would he be o.k. with a used RX330/350 instead of a new one, with an option to upgrade in the future?

Resale value on an RX is far better than a GS. Is that important?

Those are questions you should be thinking about, not "That guy said..."...

By the way, this is an excellent third option (one that I would choose over the RX at this point in time...).
