Default 2007 RX Going Up a Slippery Hill

I have read somewhere that the 2007 transmission is not really a traditional AWD unit, and instead usually puts most of the drive on the front wheels. But I am interested in knowing how much the rear wheels assist when trying to go up a snowy hill. On an uphill incline the vehicle weights shifts towards the rear so I am wondering how much drive we can expect from the rear wheels under these circumstances.
