ATM I don't have my manual with me. Youre supposed to adjust the screws with the car off? Then turn on your car and lights? Then turn everything off again and readjust? Or is it ok to just leave the lights on and adjust them?

it's best to leave the lights on with the car running, b/c this way not only do you see exactly each change in position when the lights are on, but you also do't drain the battery by having the car on.

Just do it at night, pull your car in front of a garage, adjust so the beams are even, then go test drive to see if you adjusted properly. If still off, best to take that philips with you to just adjust when you are out. then do the final tweaking when you get back to the garage door to make sure they are exact.

I just cvouldn't remember if I could do it that way because of the way the beam auto adjust of incline. I didn't know if I turned the screw if it would try and auto adjust that somehow.

just make sure when you are adjusting you adjust on a level surface or the adjusting will be off.

Your lights need to be in the "neutral" position = flat surface... Adjust from flat and you should be fine with an accurate positioning.
