Default First window tint ticket...

Well, got pulled over for going 50 in a 45 yesterday

While he had me pulled over, he wrote me up for my window tint. I think the "speeding" violation was an excuse to nail me for my tint, since I didn't get written up for a speed limit violation. Told me I had until September to remove the front tint...yeah right!

FWIW, I have 32% on the four side windows and 20% on the back windshield. Oh, and this happened in San Diego.

Yes, I had my windows rolled down. I got the ticket on Genesee Ave. before Governor. It was past the bottom of the hill. There were two motorcycle cops who were off their bikes and motioning people to pull over. They were pulling over a ton of people.

No big deal really, I have a connection that can sign off on my ticket. But it's a pain nontheless.

Sad that these Cops have nothing better to do than give you a ticket for your windows being tinted... Glad to hear you have a wait out of it!

Back windows can be blacked out as long as you have a right side view mirror. The driver's and passengers front window cannot be tinted at all.

doubt it, it should just be a fix-it ticket.

You are correct, it's a fix it ticket. Get an officer to sign off on it and mail in the ticket with a $10 check.

What sucks is that the side 32% tint isn't even that dark. It's not like I'm driving around with limo tint. And to make it worse, I was driving with my sunroof open and it was a bright sunny day.

thanks. we don't have to mail in a $10 check for a fix-it ticket!

and yeah it does suck... the cops here don't pull people over within 10 miles over the speed limit. they'd rather eat their donuts.

Doing 50 in a 45, that's not grounds to get pulled over. That was definitely for the tint. I'm not taking my front tints out at all.
