Default I Was Wrong!

I remember the days we debated whether to wait for the 350 or get the 300. Before getting a GS I said it shouldn't matter. After getting the GS300, I said again it shouldn't matter. Now that I have the 350, I know that it does matter. First, the car is quicker. My wife felt it right off. She wants to drive it instead of hers. She has a lead foot.
Second, the 350 has better, bigger brakes.
Third, the tranny doesn't do that jerky thing the 300 does when engaging it.
Fourth, the carpet seems a little thicker. Maybe that's because of the color difference...or my imagination but it seems better.

Bottom line, I love my GS350.

You guys that said it was better to wait, you were right. I'm man enough to admit I was wrong.

I had a choice between a beautiful new '06 and a wait for an '07. After driving both, I felt quite a difference. I have a lead foot too, and this car seems perfect for me.

I think you may have pushed me over the edge. Currently have an 06. On the fence about trading it in so soon. Will definitely wait for an 08 at this point, but I think I'll follow in your footsteps.

I had the option from Lexus to buyback my 06 gs and get me a 07 gs 350, from this special buyback program Lexus was running. I decided since I don't want to lease basically the same car for another 4 years, just keep the car I have currently have and then when my lease runs out in 2 years upgrade to Mercedes benz e63

But if I had the option from the begining to choice an 06 or the 07 gs, it would be a no brainer...who doesn't want more horsepower!

Hey Tony,
Yeah I have a few things in the works. New floor mats, Tanabe NF210 springs and wheels should all arrive by The Brown tomorrow.
After that, here's the line-up:
tint
aluminum dash kit
subwoofer

That's about it. Maybe a front lip, maybe a rear lip. More likely not, I think it looks good without a kit.

For me, price. Why pay more for a little extra torque....well, the sound from the engine is nicer too but that's not enough for me to pay more.

The upcoming GS460? (I'd assume for most people)

For me, it was the AWD.
