Cool

no need to pay me, in order to get under the radio, its the same procedure as performing the hack for the DVD bypass. follow these directions:

First, remove the plastic trim underneath the navigation system right beneath the cassette tape input( just right above the ashtray)

you cant see it sitting normally in the car, bend over and look just above the ashtray. a small black plastic thing.
pry it out with a small flat head screw driver with tape on it so you dont damage the plastic. it should pop out very easily.

Second, put the shifter into "D" position. DO NOT START THE CAR. Just press the start buttom twice( foot OFF brake pedal at this time) and put the shifter to " D" or you can remove the shift lock tab and press the buttom, so you can move the shifter to " D"

Unscrew the shifter and pry up on the whole center console it should pop right out. it might feel like you're damaging it but you're not, if you pull on it, it should pop straight up. once you remove that, it should look like this

im guessing whoever installed your vaistech thing stashed the Unit somehwere in that hole. where is the wire comming out of that you attach to your ipod? is it around there somewhere?

im pretty sure this is where they hid the unit. if you still can't find it, then its BEHIND the navigation system. if you open it up and its not there, follow these directions to get behind the navigation.

unscrew these

pop off those side things that the screws held on to.

then through the sides of the now exposed navi, remove the 4 bolts.
use a flashlight they're kind of in a narrow *** hole.

once thats all said and done,

lay a towel over where the driver stick used to be. reach under the navigation and PULL on the metal parts. pull hard but dont break it, the whole navigation unit should slide out.

the point of the towel was to keep the bottomn from getting messed up. now look inside your dash, you should see the vais tech unit there. if its still not there, then they put it somehwere else, and its not where they told you it is.

most of the information here is from another post about doing the DVD hack. if your car is a 2006, i highly recommend you do the DVD hack since you have it all out and in the open. let me know if you ahve questions, and i can even perform the hack for you for a very small fee. i actually enjoy doing it.
