2007 450h- DVD Overide tomorrow

My installer friend is going to attempt what I have read in the posts tomorrow. I just purchased my vehicle is there anything I need to know or tell hime tomorrow?

whatever you do DON'T cut the purple wire!!!! you're car will not start after you do that......

My installer did it - he actually followed the driver side instructions and then your instructions - now DVD works, BT works while moving and Nav works fine just have to stop rolling to type anything in.

The Bluetooth works while moving - I can dial out etc, the DVD plays fine, Nav works fine, I can not use the Nav unles I am completely stopped but that does nto bother me at all.

so you have the 6.1 NAV, where you can't just do the touchscreen hack like I do to input destinations.......?

We did not switch at all. Can watch DVD's while moving, can operate BT phone via screen while moving, can not input destinations while moving.
