I have a 2006 GS with only 7,000 miles on it, and I realized today that when going on a straight road, my steering wheel is 3 degrees to the left. Unlike other cars I have driven when there is alignment problem, the steering would be straight but the car would veer to either side depending on the alignment issue. So, thats why I realize today that when i try to straighten the wheel, the car would veer to the right a bit. Does it cost anything to get the alignment done before 12,000 miles, since its a new car? I know the entire warranty does not cover for the alignment. If so, I have always hated getting any of my car steering aligned if its only a slight deviation since dealers don;t always do a good job and the car will deviate again couple thousand miles later.
I recently had my stock dunlop sp sport 2050s replaced with bridgestone re960as pole positions. In the process I had my alignment done as well. I only had 16800 miles on the car.
Now my car feels like a cloud -- before it kinda felt I was in my old crappy Camry.
Haha,
yeah I dumped those awful runflats at 1000 miles and bough the GS430 18 inchers with Continental all season tires. Much better handling. I will schedule my alignment to be done next week. Thanks!

Thats what it is! You went for 17 inch to 18 inch that little bit prob threw it off a bit. Make sure when they do the alignment they do it for the 18inch wheels and not the 17inch.
i had that problem around 2000 miles. my steering wheel was straight and the car pulled left (tsb issue so dealer fixed it for free). they did an alignment and rotated my tires. i just recently took the car in for a 5000 mile oil change and told them to check brakes and see why i'm getting so much road feel. well, now when i let go of the steering wheel, it tilts left a little bit. then depending on the road, the steering wheel might turn more agressively pulling the car on the way left.
oh, and bringing it back to the dealer this wednesday.
i've always been paranoid with the the steering and the road feel of the gs350 ever since i got it. i thought the wheel would actually be more stiff like the german cars, but it seems like every little bump throws the car off. i guess that's what i get for not test driving before i bought it. hahah..
