now thats funny we are the ones relying on you to give us our info. so the factory keeps the dealers out of the loop, but we are the bad guys. good logic there.

My 06 GS has 12K miles. It has averaged about 17.5 m/g since new, but then again I live in So Cal where traffic is bad and I don't ride the freeways much. I recently took a 60 mile non-stop trip with speeds of 85/hour and it averaged 26.7 m/g. No engine light warnings with mine. So far this has been the best car that I have ever owned and I hope that it will stay that way.

"Just telling the customer what 'they' say" is really a poor example of customer service that will, in the long term hurt a dealership's reputation - especially if in a smaller community. This is my exact point. And I believe PureBliss would agree with me. If the messenger doesn't want to be challenged - don't tow the company line here. Ultimately, what would make me happy and loyal to Lexus and this dealership is a firm commitment from them right NOW that when this is "fixed" - they will swap me a NEW vehicle - - plus offer some form of compensation for my time and inconvenience (could be an extended warranty, dealership credit, etc. Just "something" to recognize what they are continuing to put me through.).

I'm now on 7 trips for this same issue, as of Tuesday (2/20). If Lexus and the dealerships really do plan to "cover up" and just replace cars later because it's cheaper - then there should be no hesitation to make this offer to this customer right now. My respect, trust and loyalty for this corporation and dealership is in the trash at this point. They had a chance to preserve my loyalty - - but they chose to continue to perpetuate the "your driving habits" bull*****. Read this and other related strings. It's not the driver or the driving habits - - it's the 1 of 10 cars and I drew the short straw for over $50K.
