looks like im going to get myself an 06 gs430...but i have a few questions.

can i play dvd's with the navigation system?

is there anything i should look out for when it comes to a 430?

is this the same motor as the previous gs430?

At this point in time I wouldn't even consider the 430. A 2007 GS350 would be less expensive, has more power, and gets better gas mileage.
You can play movies on the NAV with cars equipped with the Mark Levinson system.
The 4.3 liter engine in the 430 has been the same since 2001.

The 2007 GS350 is a better car, even without the GS430's VDIM. And as for price, a buyer might save a few dollars on a used GS430 with 15K miles or so on it over a new GS350, but if the few bucks he saves makes any difference, he probably shouldn't be trying to afford ownership and operation of a car like the GS, anyway (tires alone will cost $1,000/year because they wear out so fast).

no offense, but only an idiot would buy a new 430 at this time unless it could be had somehow for less than a 350
