Can the standard and ML audio systems play MP3 Cd's?

 

ML yes, not sure about the standard.

 

Depends on which car you're referring to. As not all ML systems can play them. Actually, I don't really think ML or non-ML is a factor here.

 

All 3GS models, with and without ML.

 

Could you explain "which car you're referring to"? Do you mean certain models, or all 3GS's should play MP3 CD's but the results are inconsistent?

 

Okay, all the first-year 3GS's can not play them. That includes the 2006 GS 300/430. But the 2007 GS 350/450h are capable of playing them. Not sure about the 430. I believe it's because they have the 5th gen nav system.

I thought I read no - because it can't tell the difference between and MP3 DVD and a video DVD so it won't play while you are driving. You need to install the hack documented elsewhere in this forum to make it work.

To clear up my confusing first post: ML plays MP3/WMA CD's on the 2007 models - I'm not sure whether the standard system does. Neither ML nor the standard system will play them on the 2006 models.
