Do the people who are having this problem have their owner's manual in the glove box? If not, maybe the added weight of it would help the door open when you press the button.

Default The problem is the manual portfolio is too big

The glove box can be adjusted pretty easily. Put the manuals somewhere else or take them out and leave the ones you want in the glove box. The issue you describe happens after the porfolio is stuffed into the glove box which now strains against the small pop out latch and creates friction. It can be corrected at the dealership.

My problem wasn't caused by my owners manuals because I've never tried to squeeze them in there.. It just came from the factory like that..

Default Probably happened before delivery

Not to imply that it was your fault in any way. If the little pop out latch binds then it can stick and require two hands to open. It should open in a relaxed way by merely pushing the button and not require any extra effort. I've seen a few GS300's do this before and then had them adjusted. Sorry about any confusion.

Default Same Problem

I had the same problem. Took it to the dealer who promptly ordered a new glove box. After replacement, it works flawlessly.

On another note, I have noticed a minor rattle in the glove box recently. I guess I have to have that checked also.

Oh man, there was no confusion.. I was just saying that I didn't put the manuals or anything in there. To be honest with you all I have in there are a few napkins.. Thanks for the help though..
