i seem to be having a strange issue with my glovebox. when cold in the AM, I push the button and it doesnt open. After third try works fine. I guess i'll have the dealer look at it but of course he wont be able to recreate it...

mine has only 2K miles and it is been like that since new.

 

same here......didnt bother to tell them to fix it.....

 

i though it was just me that release the button too quick.. i guess i will start paying attention to it.

 

I guess it's a pretty commong problem because I've had these problem from the start. it doesn't even have to be cold and the glove box never opens on the first try. I'm going to ask them to fix it when i bring it in for the first service.

 

I just opened it to put my registration card into the glove department and i had to press it twice. Its normal as far as i know.

 

Same here. It's stuck since I got the car. The sunglass compartment in the over head dome sticks closed/doesn't stay closed too. Lexus quality FTW

 

ditto here. same issue since day one, never bothered to have dealer fix it.

 

My car is over a year old and I've learned to accept that "feature".

Mine sticks too, but no big deal. It's funny how every other cover smoothly opens and they didn't even bother to make the glove box cover open smoothly. My friends get a kick out of seeing any hinge open a cover slowly... they just keep opening and closing it like kids.

 

my glove box opens fine... it doesn't close all the way somtimes...

 

Mine did it for the 1st few months... i figured it was doing it cause it was new..

The button is lubed with that white/clear grease..

Its since gone now and worked perfectly earlier when I got pulled over and needed all my ppwk from my glove box...
no plates and CHP was bored i guess... my tax dollars at work...

However, i did notice it rattles at times with the owners manual in it..
If empty it, there is no rattle..

wow... it seems to be the very common problem FEATURE that came with almost all ISx50...

so i should go and check since it is early(?) in the morning...

it is hot in the afternoon here....
