Hello friends,

I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with my trunk mechanism. Now I cannot open my trunk using conventional ways. I was able to open my trunk with my key, but not the remote. The button on the glove box does nothing. Checked every relay and fuse. Now the key won't open the trunk either. BUT...it will open when I choose to from my scanner tool!!!

Any suggestions?

Did you disconnect the battery?
If so, the car takes about 1 cycles before buttons inside the cabin work. Try the following use your key open it manually, cycle the car ON/OFF and then try the button inside the cabin as well on your remote. While replacing the ID code box I went thru it a lot.

 

I have had this issue when my car dies bc the lights get left on, sometimes the car will be weakly chirping in the morning. One fix is to disconnect the Negative terminal ONLY to the battery and leave the car for 30-45 mins. Hidden solution, hope it helps!
