Funny enough I did this exact thing. For the low beams, I switched to philips d4s 6000k ultinons. Had them for a few years now and they're still just as bright. For the high beams, which also double as the drls, I couldn't find bulbs that could handle the drl mode without flickering. But after some research, I came across the xenon depot 9005 bulbs with the pwm driver which could handle both the drl and high beam modes. I have also been using them for a while and they work perfectly. They do not flicker when they're being used as drls. These changes easily make the car look way newer than it is.

How are your lenses on your headlights? Are they clear and polished? Or are they yellowed and foggy? Easy way to make your headlights brighter if they are cloudy, just polish them clear

yea they have been starting to yellow. i tend to buff the lens maybe once a month it does make a difference when i do buff the yellow haze out although its not 100% clear. i just notice how much brighter my girls newer 2017 Maxima's light output is and its no contest.

The bulbs are pricey but they will last. Once I tried cheaper hid bulbs on amazon and they didn't even fit. Also, some detailing shops may offer headlight restoration. IMO when I tried to buff the headlights myself, they didn't turn out very well. The detailer did a much better job.

I got the Osram Nightbreaker laser bulbs and they’re nice and bright. Keep the halogen DRLs. If you switch to LEDs you’ll loose your high beams. I did switch my parking light bulbs to 4000k LEDs to match the low beam HIDs. Looks nice at night having 4 white lights on the front of the car.

You could just stick to halogen high beams but the ones i put the link for which are leds have a resistor that works for both high beam and drls.

So i just purchased those Phillips d4s bulbs bkuz my passenger light keeps going out when im driving. I hope its just the bulb thats dying and not the ballast i hear the ballasts are a pain to replace. ill probably get those LED drl's on my next paycheck.

Glad to hear the lights are better than before. For the foglights, I can't remember exactly which ones I put in but on amazon I just looked up 9006 led fog light and just chose a model with good reviews. You want to make sure it's called 9006 fog light so it's not so bright. The non fog light ones can be very blinding
