No, I did not reuse the gasket, and I got the polk audio mm 1042 dvc. What I did was put some foam weather strips on the bottom of the subwoofer instead. I forgot to take pics, but in this photo you can see two of the four zipties. Again, I just routed them through the speaker screw holes and the holes where the 10mm bolts for the bracket went.

Bass hits much stronger than before. Pairs very well with the ml speakers

I looked up the Polk sub and it appears to be 4 Ohm. If you have an Mark Levinson System, it needs to be 8 Ohm.

It has a dual 4ohm voice coil, so I just wired it in parallel to be 8ohm instead. There are videos online doing the same thing.

You mean wired in series. There is a fuse on that sub, unusual.

Yes, I meant series. I guess the fuse is protection for the sub. It came with some extra ones.

Not a bad idea. Check this out, one of the reviews on Crutchfield they replaced a B&O sub what a pathetic speaker lol.

Question How did you remove the connector? Seems soldered on mine

And I had others in the FB group follow my example without issue as well. Up to you.

Also, carefully remove and save the old connector. You can just screw the new sub wires into it.

Gently pry / rip it. Or melt the solder with an iron.

What I did was just cut the wire a little bit before the solder points on the speaker, then used wire strippers to expose the bare wire under the heat-shrink tubing. Since the polk sub has spring connectors, no new soldering was required. Again, I just had to wire two new wires in series to the speaker, then used some wire connectors (specifically two wago connectors) to join the wires to the main wire from the car.
