Default Transmission issue or normal?

Hello everybody I have a 2003 2GS and always when I do a u-turn on a road the transmission feels like it’s shifting with a drag or feels jerky only while doing u-turns is this normal?

Do a drain and fill a few times. Once isn’t nearly enough. Had to do about 4 drain and fills to get the fluid to come out red. It only drains a little over 1 qt each time anyway

Yes I’ve done one and drain and fill already perhaps that wasn’t enough to make a difference? The fluid is still nice and red by the way not at all burnt or brown colored.

Not normal. You sure it's transmission and there's not something funky with your rear differential? Doesn't make a ton of sense it only happens on a sharp turn...

Im not too sure if it’s the differential I haven’t checked the condition of the fluid yet and don’t know if the previous owner maintained it and yes it only occurs on sharp u turns

most definitely not enough. You mean the fluid in the dipstick? That will look clean. It’s when you drain it you will see how dirty it is. You need to drain and fill at least 2 more times, it makes a big difference when it’s done a few times.

Surely any jurking of the rear end when doing a sharp turn has to be diff or suspension, try jacking both rear wheels off the ground and turning one wheel, the oth should freely turn in the opposite direction... Unless you have a diff lock 🤔🤔🤔

The jerking usually occurs only in the front end of the vehicle when doing sharp u turns it doesn’t do this all the time but occasionally. But when driving straight the transmission shifts buttery smooth at any acceleration speed.

Could be the alignment. The 2GS is very sensitive to having a proper alignment. When it’s off the car will drive weird and can definitely make the wheels stutter or jerk
