Default Squeaky Steering Wheel

I have a 2000 GS400 with about 200k miles. Everything works and the car is quieter and smoother than a new Camry.

My steering wheel recently developed a squeak as it approaches the lock position and is noticeable only when pulling into or out of driveways requiring 90° turns. The steering is fine, and the noise seems to be coming from inside the car. Is there a lube point on the steering column and if so where is it located. Would a shot of white lithium grease solve the problem?

Thanks
Addison

It's usually where the shaft goes through the rubber seal on the firewall. And yes, usually a shot of lithium grease or even WD40 will quiet it back down. Give it a try.
