Default HELP PLEASE. Brake issue. 99 gs300

Hi guys. It's my first time on the website on the lookout for an answer to my problem. Sorry the Post might be a bit long I'm just trying to explain my issue more clearly.
so basically I had an issue where my brake pedal would go all the way down and there was little to no response when braking. I took it to the garage and the mechanic fixed it by changing the master cylinder which I found from a used auto parts shop it seemed okay though I didn't test it out properly. I was driving around for 3 days I didn't feel any issues with it.
On the 4th day I went to change my front brake pads and got all disks resurfaced. And when I first started my car after the brake pad change I started to pump the brakes and by applying pressure they would go all the way down and after applying a few pumps the brake light would come on with a beep sound for about 5 seconds and then it goes off.
I tried driving the car the brakes get applied properly without any issues. Abs is working. And they're strong. But the pedal just doesn't feel right. It doesn't sink it if I'm holding it in one position but when I apply slight excess pressure it goes all the way down. And Everytime I drive the car and come to a stop and push it up down a few times the brake light will come on for 5 seconds with the beep sound and then go off.
I'm really confused here.
any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

The used master assembly is defective. It is such a common problem that it isn't surprising the used replacement is bad too. If you had a shop do the job, return to them and have them see/feel the issue, it is a major safety concern and they need to get another one in there.

Default Update on the brake issue.

Thank you for your reply.
i went back to the garage for anothe master cylinder installed. Bled all 4 sides multiple times and test drove the car. It's the same thing with brakes working properly. But the pedal does go all the way down if I push it while idle.
The pedal feels spongy or really soft. Even after bleeding it multiple times. The guy removed all the calipers as well to check if any one of them is stuck but there's nothing. He greased them up as well.
What he says is this is completely normal and I shouldn't be actually pushing my pedal all the way down to check my brakes.
I took the car twice for a test drive the brakes seem to work completely okay with abs working as well but the pedal just seems soft unlike before. Is this how it is supposed to feel? I still get the handbrake light on for 5 seconds with the beep sound if I pump the pedal too hard after I come to a standstill and putting my car in park. And then it goes off after 5 seconds and everything seems like it's okay and nothing's wrong.
Ive never tried pushing the brakes all the way down before ever I just did it the first time because I got brake work done. And now I'm just in deep confusion if there is something wrong and the mechanic cannot find it out and is telling me that everything's okay or is this actually normal.

Sounds to me they're blowing smoke man. The pedal on my 00' GS has NEVER gone all the way to the floor. You still have a problem and the shop is failing to admit it.

Check to make sure the brake lines aren’t swelling when you hit the brakes.

Drive around and then check your brake fluid level. Sounds like you have a leak.
