That’s a great find but take it straight to a mechanic for inspection. Even with low miles lots of maintenance items need to be changed if they are original

Mine has 260,000km in 2019, so yeah, I'd rather have yours assuming it's in the condition a 60k mile car should be in.

Great because I have been specifically looking at early 2000s gs300 models for like the last 2 weeks. But I will be taking the car to the mechanic in the morning but I got till tmr 6pm to decide if I want to return the car for $300. Because I did pay 10k for it and I don't know if I should stick with this one or get a cool looking modded one for 4k lol

Oh wait. What?! 10k!
I love my GS 400; it’s fast and trouble free for the most part but I’d never pay more than $4 tops and it has low miles (130) a new paint job exhaust, interior blah blah blah.

oh well, welcome and toss some pics when ya can. But if I see so much as one ding on it... lol

$10k for a 17 year old car!? I’m sorry, but he bent you over...low mileage means nothing at this age. If you totaled that car today, you WON’T get $10k from insurance. Only seek low mileage for new cars.

That’s being very generous. He should’ve asked the question first before purchasing.

If I wanted a 2GS specifically, I'd pay 10k for one with 60k, just like everyone would have ten years ago. I'd much rather spend "5k too much" up front than chase my tail fixing everything on a car with double, or triple the mileage like most of them.

If I had a 10k car budget and just needed a low maintenance A-B car I wouldn't be looking at 15 year old luxury cars.

Yea I think I ****ed up big time on the how much I paid for it part, cuz the front driver side lock is ****ed up. So yea I should've tried to haggled but he hit me with the someone else is trying to buy it **** so i was just so eager to get the car. But he agreed to fix it for me tho so. But btw guys what else are likely to go out in car this old. But its a nice car to drive tho, bad thing is the gas. Im about to buy a full tank of gas for the firs time and im not looking forward to see how much it going to cost > half a tank was like $50

Please read the sticky above regarding maintenance items. All door actuators will eventually go bad. When one lock is bad, it places extra stress on the remaining actuators because they’re attempting to lock twice. You should replace your lower ball joints immediately or seriously risk your tire breaking off while driving. Lastly, I’m almost certain the owner didn’t change the timing belt, water pump...so expect to pay at least $1k for this service. Make sure you change out the pulleys and seals during this service. Lastly, check every rubber component.

To be honest, I think the fact that he acknowledged that he got taken says something about his character. Yea he was the earner beaver and got taken. But a lot of us have been that guy when emotions trump reason in the past.

He made a mistake. It happens.

Maybe it’s me, but with all the comments made about the car will we get the chance to actually see some pics?
