Anyone can help? (Japanese error codes)
Hey guys. I've taken the liberty of taking 2 pictures of the error codes that appear on my center console LCD display unit about 10 seconds after I start the car. The codes are in Japanese because my car is directly imported from Japan. I have shown the pictures to GLOBECLK who has quite a good grasp of Japanese and he told me this is what it means:
1st line: "LOW ENGINE OIL"
2nd line: "PLEASE REFILL ENGINE OIL"
This doesn't make sense because I've done quite a few oil changes since I bought the car 2 years ago and this message has appeared since day 1. I asked the car salesperson who sold it to me and he said only a certified Toyota/Lexus mechanic can erase that error code. Am I out of luck on this? We don't have any Lexus dealership here in Indonesia. Here are the pics. By the way, I also tried to reset my ECU by disconnecting my battery for 20 minutes or so, but to no avail. Everytime I turn on the car, voila! The message is there. Let me know your thoughts.

Hm, GS4Fun, you could be onto something there. I will check to see if that is the case.... I highly doubt it though.

*hhiks* no luck there either. The Toyota dealerships here refuse to work on "grey market" cars such as mine.
