Default 99 GS 300. Code p1349 Misfiring at low speed?

Hi Guys! my car misfires and shakes when I start it and works so so and after 15 minutes or so it gets very bad and shuts down. I have a code p1349. This mostly happens at low speed. Does anybody know what might be the problem? Thank you so much!!

When I had that happen I replaced the VVTI solenoid, but the code didn't go away. I had ran the car low on oil more than one time do to my leaking rear main seal. I would recommend making sure your oil is full, and maybe even an oil change just to be sure then follow this link. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...ve-filter.html I had chunks of burnt oil in my filter blocking the passages

Thank you for your respond! exactly the same thing happened to me. after the code and misfire. I checked the oil level in the engine. there was no oil on the dipstick. I saw the link you gave me before. and I try to clean the ocv and the filter but nothing changed. I took the car to two mechanics, both were suggesting time belt replacement. which did not satisfy me. I better take the care to a dealer! Thank you

Disconnect the battery cable for a few minutes so that the computer resets then see if the code comes back. On mine that was a 2 trip code which meant that I had to drive the car twice to be sure the code didn't come back.
