Default Oil leak help.

My '99 GS300 was leaking oil, just a drip or so a day along bell housing where tranny meets motor. Brought it to my local shop who are reputable and knowledgeable mechanics who said it's the rear main seal. So they replaced it, and next day it was dripping worse. Back in the shop now and they've dropped the tranny for a second time to see what's up. Any suggestions ? Definately motor oil, not tranny fluid. He's thinking it might have been a defective seal, but I'm skeptical.

Can be the valve cover gasket, specially the one close to the exhaust manifold. Check that please.

Pics of it would be good but I'd have to go with valve covers.
