Question Inquiry

I bought my wife a 98 gs 400 beautiful car and it took me 3 or 4 years to find one. When we initially bought it the interior lighting did not work but the dash board lights cluster lights and seats all worked no problem. Had a system installed on it with the wiring that was already in the vehicle and this was done in November and its been working fine until a 2 days ago. Now nothing works it runs perfect u can crank it up with no problem. The lights on thw cluster dash lights seats and the button on the steering wheel that tilts left to right up and down doean't work at all. I changed out all fuses so far and i think its a wire loose somewhere has any body had this problem im asking before i take down the dashboard and check every individual wire until i find the problem. PLEASE HELP ASAP I PLAN TO TEAR THE DASHBOARD DOWN TOMMOROW

do yourself a favor and dont start tearing the dash out. you have no idea whats going on. it could be a blown fuse or loose connector from a previous repair. you need to find someone or a shop that has a quality scan tool that is capable of scanning all the modules in the vehicle. than you will be pointed down a path that makes sense.

Default ?

Thats the thing the scanner cant read the computer because its no power going to it. I know what you're thinking but the computers not fried because the lights in the back work now and the car still cranks up completely no problem at all. I think its a wire loose from somewhere because as i said the interior lights didnt work when we initially bought it. But now that no power is getting to where needs to the lights are getting power now.

Default Found the problem!

Had a specialist look at my wife's electrical system after it went out and i appreciate the one post to my previous messages which is why i was able to find it we looked and searched and found the problem way inside the dash. It was a plug that 2 wires came out of whic was the problem that cut all the power from the dash.
