Default Driver side mirror motor replacement

Some MF broke my mirror on the driver door. Question is...can the motor assembly in the mirror housing be replaced? The white part that swivels is broken and I'll need to replace that with the mirror itself.

Thanks for the help!

Good luck bro. Same thing happened to me twice in 3 weeks! Changing that motor was a ***** because I couldn't get the mirror to pop back in place. Also I cracked on mirror trying to do that. Also I don't think there is a way to route the motor wires through the mirror housing into the door panel without cutting them. I got tired of trying to figure it out and just cut and spliced them back together. If I could have found a complete mirror painted the color of my car I would have done that

Mahalo for confirming. I don't know how big the connector is but splicing seems like the only option.

Being in Hawaii, I don't need the heating feature. If I could figure out what wires to bypass it would make the job easier.

when you unscrew the motor and pull the wires out a bit you will see a point where the wires are covered in foam. The foam is covering wire connectors. Peel off the foam and unplug them. Try to route the connectors out of the mirror housing. You will see one connector is a little too big. At least to me it was. Also the back of the mirror has a plug that can be undone. Just look at it closely. I should have taken pics

i think the 2nd time i did these i just cut them and soldered them

also OP yes the internals can be replaced but so much easier to install a whole replacement side mirror
