loose driver side mirror

Default loose driver side mirror

my driver side mirror lightly shakes while i am on the freeway. passenger side is fine. anyone know if i need to tighten a bolt or something?

Not enough info. But if you're handy, remove the door panel and there are 3 bolts behind the tweeter that holds the mirror. If the mirror housing is shaking off the stand, under the mirror on the outside (depending what year) should have a screw or a panel that can be removed with a screws underneath where the mirror swivels, you can tighten that as well. If its the actual mirror, does the motor still work in all directions? If not, may have broken tabs in there.

Have the same issue with my 07 RX350 (36K). Brought it to the dealer and they say it is not covered with my extended warranty. Apparently its one of the screws under the removable cover that somehow striped and can't be tightened. $700.00 for a replacement mirror assemble. I don't know why this wouldn't be covered since it's part of the vehicle assembly. Only if the mirror motor or the mirror itself was defective, would they replace it under warranty.
