I have a 2005 RX330 that the driver side mirror quit working. Did all the checks documented in similar threads. Has anyone taken the motors from a donor mirror and installed it in your existing mirror? I searched, but haven't seen any documentation where someone has done this.

 

Wow, I'm surprised I'm the first willing to go in and replace the guts of the mirror. Anyone willing to share their experience?

 

Yes I was tried to see if motor is replaceable. Actually I have be able to disconnected all harness that is attached to it. But where to find a motor? It's a big question!
So I bought from ebay a mirror, then took it to the local body shop, paid 50 bucks for match with my car color then installed on car.
