LED Wedge Bulb
I really didn't want to clutter up the forum with another thread, but the lighting forum is kinda dead and I already looked at the thread posted below for an answer. No one's really posted anything in a year or two.
I had the JPWarden LEDs that were a 90% match to my OEM HIDs since early 2009 and they finally gave out on me. My driver side gave out but the passenger side is still going. Who's got the latest and greatest LEDs that match the factory HIDs for a GS400?

Matching LED to HID involves some luck. HIDs can change colour as they age, LEDs kind of depend on the QC of their factory. I've had several LEDs out of a single bag of them be different colour temps. I generally try and purchase them simply by their advertised colour temperature. The LEDs I have now are probably what the factory HID should look like most of the time, but I have 6000K bulbs (I don't like them either) so the headlights look somewhat bluer than the driving lights. When the HIDs are warmed all the way up they are a reasonably similar colour I guess, just colder...

So looks like I got pretty lucky. I had an extra pair of LEDs leftover from my recent VLED purchase and decided to try them out. I'm not gonna say they match 100% but they're pretty damn close. There's no blue tint to them or anything. If you guys are interested, see the link below. I got the "LONG LIFE WHITE 360 6 LED 194 in 5K Pure White for $12 each. They were pretty bright at 120 lumen. There's a similar one that's at 240 lumen (HIGH OUTPUT) for $2 more each. Shipping is $5 flat rate, so I suggest stocking up on a few other LEDs. I might buy another 3 pairs for my license plate and door courtesy lights. I did them a few years ago and they have a slight blue tint. Debating if I want everything to match now.

Thanks for the links. I personally recommend the Sylvania Zevo LEDs. My uncle has them in his GS430 wedge lights and they're a perfect match to the low beams. $10 each and easy to find.

although since a lot has changed since 2009 you might get to be the guinea pig and try a few out to find a match

Ah gotcha! I don't think I'll be switching them out again. The driver side was a pain to get out and my hands aren't even that big. I don't remember how I got them out so easily the first time in 2009. There was a bundle of wires that looked like it could be unclipped and moved aside to create more space, but I couldn't get it to unclip. Either way, I might try those Zevos that Eicca suggested for my license plate lights and door courtesy lights.
