Just curious because I'm about to switch to this new oil, my brother runs Royal Purple in his 500 HP STi and he swears by it. Looking for other opinions as well. =)

Here are a few just to get you started:

There are many oil threads speaking of it too, these are just those with the name in the title.

I've tried royal purple & it's OK but my choice of oil pure 100% synthetic is amsoil signature series. 0 I mean "0" complaints.

I'm sure many people use every and ALL oils available from mineral to synthetic... with "no complaints". The question is very relative and depends on the demands of its usage. I'm just posting links to discussions on Royal Purple.

I've used Castrol Full Synthetic... 0 complaints
I've used Mobile one Full Synthetic... also 0 complaints
I've used both above brands in synthetic blends as well as mineral... too, 0 complaints
I use Royal Purple in my drag car... I cant complain nor praise. I just use because of its claims. IMO, using it for a daily driver (hard driving or not) is pointless.

unless anyone pulls the engine apart and examines with a microscope, complaints cant be made.

just saying.

I understand & respect what your saying. No I'm not dissing nor degrading royal purple. Amsoil just ranked higher than royal purple. But to each its own. You get what you like

well Brakes plus just gave me a free oil change coupon for their Christmas special, and it includes house synthetic blend - I guess I'll do that for free for now with 0 complaints lol... just wondering if I should jam up to toyota and pick up an OEM filter. Maybe next oil change in the summer I'll switch to RP. =)
