Talking When DOES THE MODDING STOP!?!?!?

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH. My GS has direct WITHDRAWEL on my bank account. I bought the carbon fiber rear STB from Mumbles this weekend at our Smokey Mountains Spring Fling meet.

So I started thinking. Jazziz told me that the mod bug starts after your 1st purchase but he NEVER TOLD ME WHEN IT STOPS?!!?!

Has anyone modded their cars and stopped? At what point, money, satisfied with mods, the wife?

Anyone never gonna stop? Maybe you try different exhuasts, wheels etc???

Dang, this is nuts (in a good way, I love it). But I did think I would have quit by now.

Oh and thanks DAVEGS4 and Mumbles, now I want a roof spoiler also.

I have stopped modifying my GS. Other than force induction and stereo, you name it and I probably have it. I've tried 4 sets of exhausts, 3 sets of rims and tires, 3 sets of intakes, 3 set of front grills, 2 kinds of front strut bars, 3 kinds of front lower chassis and 2 sets of bodykit. All the moddin' burn a huge hole on my pocket.

Never ends......I modded my car after I put 3k on the car (not even the first oil change yet ). Put an exhaust and intake on....if you're a car guy, you'll want to mod anything...even its a Metro...well, maybe not a Metro..but you get the point.

1Sick, it doesn't stop.. And when you think you can't do anything else, you start taking old stuff off and start putting new stuff on... It's a sickness that we all suffer from and trust me it's a bad illness to have...

I think the problem is this site!! If I had not found this site, I would be riding around in automotive bliss, thinking my car was the ****e! Then I find out that coilovers, forged wheels, clean body kits, and forced induction are still alive and well (I thought that side of me died when I got rid of my 95 Accord!)

The only way for me to "pause" is to buy another car. Never STOP though.

(the only rubber I get to burn!)

i agree with dgot20's, this site or actually the internet and magazines r the cause 4 all this. if i had my car but never met u guys at this site or saw the possibilities, much money would have still been in my pocket.
this site ir our drug. well at least mine. but when i think about it , i wouldn't want it any other way.

It stops when your fiancee threatens to divorce you one month before you are to be married if you spend another dime on the car

Since I bought this car last March, I freely admit it has become an obsession. I consider myself to be a financially conservative person; however, I've completely thrown caution out the window when it comes to modding this car. I've spent between 5-10% of my annual income before taxes on this car in just over 2 months

This past weekend, I painstakingly forced myself to add a "car mods" category in the annual budget. I plan to stick to it or I will certainly make myself car poor (and lonely) with this obsession

modding sure is a bitter-sweet thing. you enjoy the car a lot more, but you're broke in the process.

had i not known about CL, i'd have done the pretty things and a few performance things and be done and felt like king of the world. but now, knowing what CL members have, i'm barely above the fungus in the pond. yikes
