Default Custom TRUNK Lift Support?

Has anyone added a lift support to the trunk? The previous owner added a wing and I'd like to keep it but it needs extra help keeping the trunk open due to the weight.

May as well just buy a new set of supports. IIRC, there are two sets. One for trunk with wing, one for without.

You can also drill your own holes to add settings onto the supports. Search for the DIY.

Have you looked up the DIY on readjusting the tension rods?

THIS is why Club Lexus is the best. I meant to post months ago when I found this info. I have a GS with wing and two young kids. Twice a week I let them off at karate and they get their sparring gear from the trunk. The way it slammed always worried me. Even a gust of wind could slam it down.

I found the tip reposted here. It took about 3 minutes to move the rods and that improved it a lot. I then took ten more minutes to get my drill and add a new hole. Works great now. Trunk pops up a couple inches when unlocked, and stays up until pushed down.
