Default Wheel Spacer General Information

Just to make sure I did my math right, I have a 1 inch (25.4mm) wheel spacer in the front to clear the brake to run my aftermarket wheels, but the spacer is to much. I don't want to roll the fenders or doing any crazy body mod, but it seems a smaller spacer should work. So my question is, whats the smallest spacer I can bolt on, but yet still big enough to clear the OEM front brake? My guess is 15mm?

I would say 15 mm. Or just buy the right offset wheels.

I think the smallest bolt-on spacers I have seen so far were 15mm. As for the minimum thickness to clear the caliper, you could tell us better than we could tell you. Just go measure what the space is right now, and do the difference.

15mm didnt work for me. The stock bolts stuck out too much and I couldnt mount my wheels. If youre buying 15mm make sure that your wheels have the little pockets/spaces on the back side of the wheel face so they can fit properly. Kinda like this

Oh yeah, that's a good point. You'll need to either cut down your stock studs or install shorter ones if your wheel doesn't have recesses. Or run a spacer thick enough.

Offset has nothing to do with your caliper clearance. Click "disk type" here https://www.work-wheels.co.jp/en/search/guide/ for explanation and pictures.

That link for multi-piece wheels. Disk type can be selected when ordering those wheels or having a custom set made. With monoblock, cast or forged one piece wheels offset DOES affect brake clearance.

Since we're yelling lol, look up what x-factor is for wheels... It's why you can have more concavity in the spokes of a wheel with the same width and offset. It's no different for one piece, two or three.

It is much more common for it not to be a "configurable" option in one piece wheels as it is in three piece.

So you're saying the OEM studs stuck out to much not allowing the wheel to mount? 15mm didn't clear the brake for you? If you're asking about the wheels having a hub centric bore, they do.

Im saying the OEM studs stuck out too much to mount my Volks with 15mm wheel spacers. I ended up using a 1inch spacer instead.
