Default New odometer cover installed (old vs. new)

I replaced the odometer cover and the wiring harness to the newer 430 type. The wood is what I had on before and now I have on the black with silver rings.

Which one do you guys prefer?

Here is the wood covered odometer dash (GS400 type) The wood kit looks off in the picture, but it really does match up pretty good if you see it in person.

Nice new cluster cover, but wayy too much wood - and some of it looks mis-matched.

Nice. I made this change about a year ago and it did a lot to freshen up the visuals. I agree with the "too much" wood comment. The new is better. I like the wood wheel, though.

Depending on your size and settings, I also found that with the new cover, the turn signals are in a more visible location. It used to be always obscured a bit by the steering wheel.

I agree with with you NEO about too much wood

The car came with all this wood when I bought it. Other than the wood steering wheel, its not my first choice to choose this wood look.

Dex, I got this entire cluster assembly from Steve G. Price is $155 includes cluster and wiring harness. Thats all you need to make the change. Install time was easy about 10mins.

The turn signals are in a more visible location now and not hidden behind the wheel.
The look is still growing on me....I am just so use to having so much wood

When you say the cluster? What part are you talking about exactly..the trim or the entire assembly with the gauges/ needles etc?

It's just the trim or the cover piece. Its the cluster cover only with signal indicators thats it!
